Our sunshine yesterday was a one day only thing. It's rainy again today. We have a large window next to the computer that looks out to the backyard. I was sitting at the desk this morning, watching the rain pour down and contemplating just how badly I needed to go to the store when I decided to work with it and try a few shots out.

This is the first one. Shot through the window and focusing on the trees.

And the 2nd one, manual focus on the rain drop in the middle. Shot from the same spot as the first.

The last one. I opened the back door, shot 1 picture and closed the door again. About 6-7 feet to the left of the window so not exactly the same spot.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow and Friday as well. It's stopped for now so we'll see if Matthew has a baseball game tonight.

three different variations of almost the same subject..nice concept..bummer for the rain..i can totally relate. well, on our end, we get a break from the rain..our weather goes from one extreme to the other...two weeks of nonstop rain and then all of a sudden, were hitting the 70s and early 80s then next week, back to having rain...:(

I hear you on the rain! We've got lots here too. So sick of it, ready for sun. Love these shots though, very creative. I love the rain on the window, just beautiful!

sorry you have had so much rain, but the second shot is really cool!

That first one looks like you added a lovely filter effect (guess it's the window effect-LOL). If we had trees like that, I would not mind the rain as much! I can almost hear the rain drops as they hit all those lovely leaves!

We need more rain, so send it down here! We had lots of rain last year and the fields of wildflowers were amazing. This year not so much. I really do like the rain and wish we had more of it, but I guess it's true about always wanting what you don't have...until you have it and then you want it to go away. I really like how you showed three aspects of the same thing, and your backyard is lovely!

I love all of your different views of the same spot!! Rain shots on the window always intrigue me. THe first is so dreamy. Thanks for stopping by while I have been sick. I am feeling better thanks to antibiotics!! Feels good to be back at everyone's blogs :)
