66/365 lifeline

Have you ever had a friend who when their number pops up on the caller ID, no matter what's going on at the moment, you just smile? I have one of those {okay, I have more than one but I'm thinking of only one at the moment}. We've had a hard time connecting recently due to sick kids, work and school schedules, etc. Our phone calls over the last month or so have been fairly short. But today we got to talk for awhile. Still not as long as we'd like, but it'll do for now. We could email, it's definitely more convenient. But we don't very often. We don't text either. As we were discussing earlier, we're old and we just seem to prefer the phone. Well, we prefer in person but she lives in IL and I live in SC, so that doesn't get to happen nearly as often as we would like. We've been BFFs for more than 30 years and she probably knows me better than I know myself.

Since we're so far away from each other, this is our lifeline....

Love and miss you T!

MY BFF and I live on opposite sides of the country so the phone is our lifeline. We get to talk nearly every day. Don't know what I would do without her.

I have friends like that too. It seems no matter how long we have been apart, and how infrequent our phone calls and visits are, we always seem to pick up where we left off. That is a true friend. :)

I can relate...my best friend is in MN, and I'm in NC...I love our long talks. Love this photo btw. You have a way of making objects really stand out so they almost look 3D.

I can relate too! Nice post. It seems my faraway BFF and I are talking less and less but when we do it always feels like we talked yesterday.

Great story! I do have a friend like that, only she lives two minutes down the road, but for some reason we can never seem to get together...

Aw, that is so sweet. Treasure her because really good friends like that are hard to come by. Cool photo too.
