I had absolutely no ideas today so I decided to take a walk after lunch. I went to the pond that's about 3 blocks from my house. I saw some ducks, geese and a turtle family. They all went in the opposite direction as soon as I started towards them {Do I smell or something??}. There were some pretty buds and flowers but with the sun directly overhead, I didn't have much luck getting good shots of them. So I came home and did some laundry. And that's when I saw them. Alex's (golden retriever) prized possessions. We have 3 in the house and at least 2 outside. He sleeps with them and makes a game out of pushing them under the recliner and getting them back out again. The only way I can get him to sit still for a picture is to hold one underneath the camera.

And just for fun, animals fleeing from me....

nice DoF and focus on the tennis balls!!! Love the positioning as well!
Haha Your retriever and my lab would get along great.
Love the duck shot, you guys are having such beautiful weather!
so jealous of your nice weather...
If my dog could see my screen, she'd probably try to get those tennis balls. Nice DOF...it really makes your subject stand out.
Animals are fleeing from me all the time (I have to get close because of my zoom, so I scare them off). Some people are good at getting close ups. I excell at getting behinds!
Love the tennis balls. Their shadows add a very neat element to the photo!
Our dogs just like to chew furniture or chew things out from under the furniture. I sure wish they knew what to do with a ball! (Bulldogs...not the most athletic).
Nice focus on the one ball. The ducks in the lake look so peaceful.
I'm kind of missing Joy of Love because now I have to really think about what to take a picture of. It's like being turned loose in a giant dept store and not knowing where to look first. I like the tennis balls though so good call on that one.
