110/365

Another busy day. In between doctor appointments, dentist appointments, lunch with Joe and errands, I stopped at a favorite location to grab a few pictures. I love going there because it's so close to my house {less than 5 minutes}. It feels like it's far from civilization but I can hear the traffic from the fairly busy road and the beeping of the cross walk signal that's probably less than a half mile up from it.

I've posted a shot of this little building before, in January. It was windy today so I didn't get the cool reflections this time. I found the path that leads to the building and found lots of cool things there. I wanted to post them all but settled on one ;-)

The "official" photo for today :-)

This tank was on the side of the building and looks like it's been there quite awhile.

A few answers to questions on yesterday's post:
I did not use a tripod. I took my camera bag with me, a back pack, and set the camera up on that. It wasn't flat, which is why I got the tilt. I would normally fix that, and I did a little, but I kind of liked it on that one.

I focused {auto} on the shaded area I wanted to end up in and walked to it. It took a try or 2 to get my timing down but it worked pretty well :-)

This second shot of the tank is really cool, and it looks like such a nice spot to walk. I'm glad you explained how you got the shot of yourself yesterday.

I really would have thought that building was out in the middle of no where. What a great find. Thanks for the explanation on yesterdays photo; I keep procrastinating doing a self portrait because my tripod is packed away in storage, but maybe this the motivation I need to find other ways to accomplish the same goal. And I really do think we should start a walking club; we could post out walking distance each day to keep ourselves committed.
