Another gorgeous day. And another softball practice. Today I decided to try to get the bat hitting the ball. I was able to get one of Matthew last fall and wanted to try again. It's not easy. Timing is a huge part of it. But I did get one. And a few others that were close.

It was a good practice. We had a scrimmage with another team, which was a lot of fun. I have a lot more photos to go through but it's been a busy weekend and the kids are back to school in the morning. I'm going to bed :-)

It really IS difficult to get a good batting shot. Once in a while I get a good one, but you're right, it's all about timing. Good job on these. :)
Very good timing, Amy. I think I tried all day on Saturday to get the ball on the bat, but was never successful (of course you have to have someone playing who can do the same, ha ha)--I came close. Hope you have a great week.
Looking at these photos, there are no signs that these shots are hard than I thought. You were able to execute it well!!! Clarity, focus and everything is just spot on!!! I really like your baseball series!
I can imagine how hard it would be to get the timing perfect. Good job! Can you imagine trying to get it w/a point and shoot!??!
These are amazing, you did very well. They're so crisp, just wonderful. I have a question about the 70-200, is it heavy and what do you use it for mostly? It's a popular lens and I've been curious about it.
