We had an appointment at the high school today to pick out Em's freshman schedule. They gave us the catalog of class options and her recommendations last week so we had to go through and figure out what she should take.
She ended up with:
English 1 honors
Algebra 1
World Geography 1 Honors
Physical Science
Health
SFA (School for the Arts) Seminar
Art 1 (2nd Semester instead of health)
Phys Ed 1 (2nd semester instead of Phys. Science)
The only thing she didn't get because of scheduling conflicts with required classes was French 1. So she'll have to take that her sophomore year.

Oh boy...She is getting into the fun times now with the language classes and the arts. It looks as if she is a very high achiever. You must be so proud of her!

oh does this post bring me back!! i remember being nervous about all the classes that i would choose. such an exciting time... i know you must be proud!!
As a language teacher I'm sad to hear that she didn't get to pick French. It's so important to start early and take it as many years as possible. But what can you do? I understand you can't take everything you are interested in and in the end something has to go.
That looks like an amazing list of classes!!! Way to go Em!! I can feel her enthusiasm for learning!
