36/365 love to hate

Today is all about something they do that drives us nuts and we love to complain about. I was beginning to think I wouldn't have one for today. Until Joshua dumped 2 buckets of hot wheels on the living room floor. The boy has the biggest bedroom in the house. (The FROG-finished room over garage) But he insists on bringing his toys downstairs to the living room. Usually Legos or hot wheels. Often both at the same time. This drives me nuts, especially when I step on them. But I know soon enough those buckets of Legos and hot wheels cars will be packed away in a closet or given to younger cousins and friends or donated to Goodwill. Soon enough he won't want to be down here with us. So while it does drive me crazy, I really don't mind that much.

That sounds like our house too! I just told my son tonight that we are packing up the legos from the family room and taking them to the play room!

How true that this time will go by so fast... thanks for reminding me that I should embrace all those tiny cars that nearly take me out on a daily basis. :)

Awwww...this brings back memories. It goes way too fast! One thing that helped us was to have a toy blanket that they poured toys into for easy pick up. Can't count how many times we'd scoop that blanket up for drop in company...then bring it back out again.

It sounds like our houses are alike in many ways with your kids just being a few steps ahead of mine, so by following your blog, I'll get a good idea of what to be prepared for next.

Aaw! It is sweet that he still wants to be in the same room with you.

This will be my son in a few years. Right now he just flings the toys out of the bin in the living room. Sigh!
