Joshua asked me to take a picture of him with his sword last night. Can't say no to that ;-)
After I took it, I realized I had one from last month that was pretty much the same. Except that it was taken with my 50mm and last night I used the 35mm. I've seen comparisons between the 2 lenses using full frame cameras but not using crop sensors. So I thought I'd post them both so those interested can see the difference. Neither of these have been cropped.
I was standing directly above him in both of them.

Thanks for posting the two! Cute photos both times ;)
It is neat to see the difference! :) I love when my kids request pictures, I never turn them down!!
So cute. I can't decide which one I like better.
Haha! I can't resist taking photos when asked either! Can't deny cooperation!
Thank you for the comparison shots! Very interesting! He's such a good model for you, btw!
I love when the kids "ask" to have their picture taken; sure makes life easier. I think I'm drawn to the richness and detail of the first shot but the clarity in his eyes on the second shot...may just be the lighting, so overall I like the pic with the 35mm best. He is such a handsome boy!
