228/365 i think i'm in love....

004web
I've been saving for this for....awhile. My house is fairly good sized but when you put a 50mm on a crop sensor, you run out of room fast. I'm also excited to have this now since I have a special project coming up in a few weeks that will take place inside and it could be tight in places. More on that later though, if I'm allowed to share.

Focus test....

Clearly, he's tortured.

I have not had a lot of time to try the lens out yet-it arrived late this afternoon-but I think my 50mm might be feeling some neglect soon. The 35mm is a bit loud when focusing. I don't know if that's normal for this lens or something I should be concerned about. Anyone know?

The most that I know about that lens is that I want it. I agree the 50mm is too close in tight spaces. I read a review where someone else said it is noisy. your test photos look GREAT!

Oh yeah! For some reason I thought you shot with a Nikon so I'm glad to see you're a Canon girl too. What body do you have? I agree with you on the the tightness indoors with the 50mm and even though I love it, I find the 24-70mm is on my camera more often than anything else because of it's ability to be closer to things. I'm liking what I'm seeing so far and just might have to add the 35mm to my wish list...along with a macro of some sort. Love these cute shots of your handsome, and very silly young man!

OMG! OMG! OMG!! I have been lusting after a 35mm. These pix are great! You will have to post lots of them to show us all what it can do. I am so torn over going with a 35mm or the other extreme, an 85mm. I know that one would be good for theater shots. Oh....I'm so excited to hear what you learn about it!

One of my favorite lenses!!! It's normal for it to be noisy. You get used it and don't even hear it after awhile. Have fun with it :)

Thinking that I might add it to my list as well...first up new body though. I have a Rebel xti right now...any suggestions on a new body?

Love the sharpness in these!
