Today was Freshman First at the high school. All the freshman get to go, run through their schedule, figure out where everything is, meet their teachers and see who's in their classes before all the "big" kids get there on Monday. It's also Em's first time riding the bus to and from school. She was nervous this morning. But I just asked her if she still was and she said no, it wasn't nearly as bad as she thought it would be. She had a good day :-)

What a great idea! I would think that would take some of the anxiety out of it. Your daughter is beautiful btw...great picture...even if she isn't completely smiling. ;)

I think this is my fav photo of Em that you've posted so far. I love the intensity of her expression and the soulfulness in her eyes. She looks so much more grown up all of a sudden. Not sure it that's because she's heading off to high school or what, but she really has matured into such a lovely young lady all of a sudden. Great job on a lovely photo Mom.
