This girl of mine is so very smart. I'm not just saying that because she's mine. She really is. But getting her to care about school and grades and homework is.....frustrating.
Terrific capture--like the lightness of this one (even though your post isn't light). When I was her age, I always thought of school as a means to an end. Maybe you can help her see what that means to her. I'm not looking forward to my kids' teenage years--that's for sure! Best of luck!
This is simply beautiful! Not your frustration as I can relate, but the photo! I can relate very well to your frustration with a knowledgable child and not wanting to study. I have a 2nd grader who seems to want to prepare me for the teens already. I think he is in the stage they call the tweens? It's before the teens ;) I love the softness and brightness to this photo. Did you do something to it or is your room just gushing with this beautiful light? I could just stare at this photo because it just has that look that always captures my eye!
Great photo! It feels so natural and really captures her essence right now. I really like how sharp and crisp and perfectly exposed this shot is; at least her Mama is a good study!

You got a great photo of her studying. I understand your frustration. I hope it gets easier for you both next school year.

real life...love it.
HOLY FRIJOLES!!! She looks exactly like your there! I had to look twice. What a beautiful picture of her. :)
Mine do what it takes to "get it done." Putting forth best effort? Totally foreign to them in the homework department. :(
Wow this is really beautiful. I love the lighting and the softness as well.
