175/365 thirty-eight

today. Though I don't feel it. Usually. Then I remember my daughter is starting high school in a few short months. And my son will be a teenager next year. And my other son only has 3 more years in elementary school. Then I feel old.

I remember when I was 10, my mom was 35. And I thought she was so old. Well on my way to 40, I laugh to think that my kids see me the same way. And they do. They tell me often.

Am I where I thought I would be at 38? I don't know. But it doesn't matter. I wouldn't change anything. I am so blessed.

Ugh. I hate SPs. My nose and cheeks are darker because of the freckles. I thought about lightening them but they're me so I left it like it is. Just wanted to assure y'all that I do shower on a regular basis ;-)

This is great Amy...wonderful light too! I remember thinking the same thing when a teacher of mine turned 40. We threw her an 'over the hill' party...it seemed so far away at that point for me. I laugh now...because I definitely don't feel OVER the hill..lol.

Love your post and photo. I am not far behind you! I also think about the thoughts I thought when my mother was the same age I am now. :) I am glad you left the photo as is!! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Amy. I remember thinking the same thing. Now...the older I get, the younger "old" is. Nice selfie. I like that you left it like it is.

ohh....Happy Belated Birthday, girl!!

Love your self portrait! You have great focus on your eyes and nice DOF on the shirt. I'm impressed. I know how hard these are.

And you are YOUNG to have a high schooler. I'm betting most of your kids' friends have parents older than you. :)
