170/365 the older they get.....

the more expensive they are. We wanted to buy Matthew a new bat and batting helmet for his birthday. He's been asking for both for awhile. We took him to the store on Saturday so he could pick out what he wanted. Let's just say we suffered some serious sticker shock. It's crazy what some of those bats cost. I kind of laugh when "they" say that babies are expensive. They're not cheap, I guess, but between instrument rental, magnet program fees and field trips, baseball (spring and fall) fees and equipment, boy scout fees and camping trips........and that's just one child. I complain a bit about it but I really wouldn't change it. I love to see him succeeding at something he loves. I love to see the smile on his face when he does well.

He wanted me to take a picture of his new bat, his "baby," so I did :-)

I have never been a sports fan. Until my baby started playing. I could watch him play baseball all day long.

Very nice capture. It really sums up where you all are in your lives right now, and the photo is so peaceful yet has so much life to it.
