A few people have commented about needing to go out for a walk or wherever to find things to shoot like I've been able to find recently. With the exception of the 2 photos at the pool and the 2 of Matthew at camp, every photo I've posted for the last 2 weeks have been taken in my house or yard. It's been a bit of a personal challenge. If you were to look at my yard, you wouldn't see much worth shooting. Until you look closer. A lot closer. So I'm going to challenge all y'all too ;-) See what you can find in or around your house for the next few days. Look for things you normally would have passed by without noticing.
And I just had to post this one.

It actually reached 103 but went down to 102 by the time I made it home. I live in the south. I expect it to be hot. I don't mind it, actually, having moved here from cold Michigan. But it's only June! These temps are more normal for July and August. It's okay though. I'll still take 3 months of hot over 6 months of cold and snow any day!

those are some interesting buds! i'm going to have to try to take up your challenge and see what i come up with! and let me tell you about that second shot... i totally sympathesize! we are moving south this summer and when we went (to texas) it was HOT!! our rental didn't have a temperature gauge so we were blissfully ignorant. but, even i know it was 3-digit hot!
I'm going to head out today and walk around the yard and see what I can come up. Thanks for the challenge and inspiration.
Great challenge. I know what you mean about the three months of hot vs. the cold and snow. But...still it has been way too hot! Nice pics, Amy!
