Just another manic monday....

So. I got a phone call just before noon from the school to come pick up Joshua because he bit a boy in his class. {sigh} Funny thing is, I was thinking about similar things not 30 minutes before the phone call. He's been having a hard time getting to sleep at night. Like, he doesn't fall asleep till 10, 11, sometimes 12. The dr. said it was a side effect of his medication and to try not giving it to him on weekends so he can at least get more sleep then. We didn't give him any last weekend or this weekend. Last Monday, he tried to bite someone but his teacher was able to stop him. Today, he actually bit someone. I'm just wondering if there's a connection between not having medication on Saturday and Sunday and bad behavior on Monday. I don't know. We have decided that not giving him medication on the weekend isn't really working (he sleeps well but he's hard to deal with). So we now have to decide if we can live with the sleep issue or if we want to try changing medications and possibly getting worse side effects.
