I was getting ready to post this last night and catch up with everyone when the power went out for the whole neighborhood. Apparently there was an accident nearby.
Anyway, this is my phone.

Kind of sad and pathetic, isn't it? I can get phone calls with it but that's about it. I can send/receive texts but it's a pain to do {it took me several minutes to type that short sentence out....}. It has a camera but the quality is not good at all. We got these phones in May of 2006, a few weeks before we moved to SC. I hear "Miss Amy, you really need a new phone" a lot. I've wanted a new one for quite some time but really didn't think we'd be getting them any time soon.
Saturday was our 17th anniversary. It was a crazy busy day with Nick@Night in the morning and lifegroup game night in the evening. So we decided to go out to lunch. And that's when it happened. Joe suggested we go see about upgrading our phones. Don't tell him this but he totally surprised me. We both picked the same phone {we seem to do that sort of thing a lot}.

Can you hear the angels singing? ;-)
Anyone want to guess who's spent the most time over the past few days playing with the new phone? If you guessed me, you'd be wrong.

yay!!!! I dropped my iPhone a month ago and I have been surviving on a similar phone until my upgrade was available. I'm lucky I had something, but I can't wait to get my iPhone back. Can you imagine going back to the other phone now? lol
I am so digging into your black and white phone. :) I love when it's time to upgrade a phone. I feel like a kid during christmas time. My husband however downgrade his. From a smartphone to first phone that you had in your photo. I had my iphone of course. Now, since I enjoy my phone so much, he'd hijack mine and play with it for hours and hours until the battery would just be down to 20%. :)
Yay! Congrats on the upgrade!
FUN! I got a smartphone for Christmas and have barely used it either. The ballerinas are always on it. Be careful, they'll run your battery down in a flash and you won't be able to make a simple phone call when you need to. :)
Our lives are so similar in so many ways. My phone still looks like your first photo and I've been dropping hints about getting a new phone for months. Our plan just ran out so I can change to ATT/Verizon and get an iPhone or stick with Sprint and get a Droid...decisions, decisions! Great picture showing off your new toy.
Lol!!! Isn't it amazing what you didn't know what you were missing until you have it? I had a regular phone for the longest time while all my friends hadthe iphone... they used to make fun of me when it took me forever to send out one text message. Enjoy your new phones!!! :)
