Cooper River Bridge Run

We went to Charleston Friday evening so Joe could run in the CRBR Saturday morning. It's a 10K (6.2 miles) and he finished in one hour, 6 minutes. There were over 30,000 people running/walking in it. So cool. He did great and he's now considering doing the Kiawah Island 1/2 marathon in December.

Watching for Dad along the last part of the route.
003
There he is!
004
And still smiling too.
After checking out of the hotel, the kids wanted to go to Charles Towne Landing.
010
He looks like he's been up to something, doesn't he?
012
They have a couple ponds/lakes there with signs warning about Alligators.
028
We actually saw one this time.

I used the telephoto lens to get this, although Matthew so helpfully suggested that I go through the wedding garden, through the bushes right behind the Alligator and I'd be able to see it so much better. No thanks, Matthew.
Next, we headed to the beach.

Can't wait to go again when it's warmer. Joshua was very disappointed that we couldn't swim.
